Parents’ Voice:

Friends of Pashley

The Friends of Pashley (FOP) is an official charity that helps raise money for the school which enriches the children’s Pashley experience.

FOP have helped fund various projects in recent years, including the Adventure playground, Play Castle, Pirate Ship, DT Room (allowing cookery lessons), Woodland equipment, Pashley Farm Animals and most recently the Pashley Pond. A lot of the things that help make Pashley unique! We have also helped fund various workshops and class trips.

During the year, the FOP team organise and run various events such as a Christmas and Summer Fair, Easter Egg Hunt, Adult Quiz Nights and Ice Lolly Sales.

Anyone associated with Pashley Down Infant School (parents and teachers etc) can get involved by volunteering throughout the year. Many volunteers are needed to help make the events a success. Help can be offered in many ways such as wrapping prizes at home, running stalls at fairs or sourcing raffle prizes. We all work as a team.

The current committee, who do the majority of the organising, are a friendly and welcoming group covering all year groups. We are all working parents who offer to volunteer where and when we can.

We have three official charity roles which are as follows:
Chair – Brett (Child in Badgers / Year 1)
Secretary – Luanda (Child in Rabbits / EYFS)
Treasurer – Tina (Child in Rabbits / EYFS)
However, we currently have various parents from all year groups involved in helping to organise and run our events.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering on any scale, please contact one of the committee or leave your contact details with the school office.

We would be so grateful for as much support as possible to help our little ones thrive in more opportunities.
