Parents’ Voice:

Allotment Works

March 17, 2021 - 12:24 pm
Year 2 are allotment ready and we’ve spent this week planting our beans, sunflowers and other Bee friendly flowers for the children to observe over the next month. 🌻🌸 🐝
As if we didn’t have enough science going on we’ve also managed to squeeze in lots of exciting lessons on habitats and understanding the difference between carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. The children have been thinking about the Pashley woodlands and what the animals like to eat. They have also been thinking about what else our woodland animals need to survive and what makes a fantastic habitat for them.  The children have been designing their very own habitats for the animals and created beautiful labelled drawings. Lots of fun but incredible, impressive scientific knowledge Year Two! It’s a big thumbs up from us. Miss Dyer, Mrs Martin, Mr Davies and Mr MacInnes
